Motion by Doi

Welcome! My name is Doi.

My goal as a massage therapist is to help people release the tensions that they carry throughout their daily life, and allow them to feel comfortable and at peace in their body in the long term.

I started learning massage at a young age from my mother, who specialises in Traditional Thai Massage, and went on to learn Sports Massage in which I hold a Level 4 qualification from the University of Bath.

I work part-time at the Thermae Bath Spa and the 5-star Gainsborough Hotel where I practice a range of different treatments including Traditional Full Body, Deep Tissue, and Aromatherapy Massage, as well as Nourishing and Renewing Facials.

Together, we can work through becoming aware of your movements and how they impact your muscles; I will help you understand how to improve your lifestyle to gently strengthen your body and stop pains and aches from coming back.

I am based in a beautiful and calm setting near the Bathampton Meadows, a stone-throw away from Bath City Centre, where I can welcome you from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 6pm.

When you first arrive, we will sit down together and discuss your reasons for booking a massage with me. To make sure that I give you the best possible treatment and do not aggravate pain in any way, I will ask you to share your medical history and to fill out a consultation and consent form before we proceed to the treatment.

If you are coming for a Sports Massage, I will also do thorough testing prior to the treatment to assess your range of movement, posture, and muscle imbalance.

Please allow for an extra 15 minutes for the first session to give us plenty of time to talk and prepare.
  • For Sports Massage:
Light clothing (sports shorts/t-shirt) will be required for me to assess your movements and muscles as best as I can. During the massage, I may ask you to remove your t-shirt (and bra, if applicable) if we are working on your upper-body.

  • For all other massages:
I will give you a moment alone in the massage room and kindly ask that you remove all clothing items except for your underwear (bra included). You will then be able to make yourself comfortable under a large towel on the massage bed before telling me you're ready.

There will be plenty of towels and blankets throughout the treatment to cover areas that I am not working on, however, if you do feel uncomfortable at any point, please do let me know as soon as you can so we can find a solution. I will always strive to allow you to have as much intimacy as you require.

If you are wearing a bra and don't feel comfortable taking it off, I am happy to work around the shoulder straps and might ask if you can unclasp the back, however, please do be aware that for the treatment to be as effective as possible it is best to remove the bra completely.
Unfortunately, I am currently unable to offer massages to pregnant people.
It depends on the condition. Whilst I aim to provide massage therapy to all, massage might be contraindicated for some conditions.

If you are worried, please consult with your GP before booking a session.
